Its that time of year again when our engagement shoots begin to start and look at these two here! We visited Delamere forest in Cheshire to photograph Lucy and Bernie and it was a really lovely morning, bit wet and wind blown but nothing a nice cup of tea didn’t sort out. A big congratulations are in order for them both as they are expecting a little Keavy later in the year, yippee!

Flowers are always good to have around and after being out and about today and seeing how everything is changing with spring finally arriving, this bouquet had to be featured today. Its a right bobby dazzler!

Spring is always a nice time to be out taking pictures. We photographed Elisa and Darren in Elisa’s mums back garden last year. There was a whole field of Bluebells that we put to good use and it was a really lovely morning with a really lovely couple.

Lyndsay and Carl were married at the Doubletree in Chester last April. Lyndsay looks so lovely here as her dad is saying a few words in his speech. Soon there will be a little baby Beckett arriving for Lyndsay and Carl which is very exciting news!

Image of the Week, A Liverpool Wedding…

With all the snow about, sunny days like this seem very far away! We like to if we can, take our couples away for a small walk whilst they have some photos taken of just the two of them. This was taken on one such walk near the London Carriage works on Hope Street in Liverpool. Lovely stuff.

A wonderful West Tower wedding…part 2

After the ceremony is was time for some quick group shots before some time alone with the newlyweds for photos of just the two of them, it was rather chilly by now but Sara braved it out! After some entertaining speeches everyone made for the bar awaiting the first dance before the live band got everyone up dancing, and dance they did! Congratulations Sara & George! x

A Wonderful West Tower Wedding with Sara & George…part 1

It was a misty winters day when we photographed Sara & George’s wedding at West Tower in Aughton, but it was a lovely warm atmosphere inside. Sara and her bridal party were getting ready in the bridal suite and all was amazingly calm and relaxed with some very stylish knitwear on George’s sister! Sara had hand made her own gorgeous bouquet using vintage brooches, it was so lovely and unique! There were so many little details from the lace trim on the dress, pretty Gypsophila and hand made table decorations to the vintage maps for their travel theme, it all looked so pretty. With family and friends travelling from as far as Japan and California it was quite apt that the theme of their wedding was travel! When the time came for Sara to walk down the aisle not a flicker of nerves was to be seen on either faces. We had a little bit of competition for the best spots from our Japanese friend Yoshi who seemed laden down with an array of cameras but he is a lovely man and we have become friends!

Elaine & Rich’s St.Helens Wedding & Mere Resort Cheshire reception…part 2

After some quick photos outside the church we went along to The Mere Resort in Knutsford, guests were kept entertained by the talented wartime tribute singer Heather Marie whilst enjoying some delicious canapes and drinks before the meal. The speeches were both heartfelt and hilarious with some embarrassing moments for Rich courtesy of the best man Matty, we’ll say no more of that! The first dance of Jack Johnson’s Better Together was performed by the band Saint who went on to play some great floor fillers! A wonderful day for a wonderful couple, congratulations Elaine & Rich! x

Elaine & Rich’s St.Helens Wedding & Mere Resort Cheshire reception…part 1

We first met Elaine & Rich last September and went on to photograph their engagement shoot in Chester City Centre. The ceremony was held at St.Helens Holy Cross & St.Mary’s Lowe House Church, beautifully designed and described as free Romanesque with Gothic features. The reception was held at the lovely Mere Resort in Knutsford where there are lovely views and across the lake you can see one of Rich’s designs! (Rich is an architect). Both Elaine & Rich got ready at their parents homes surrounded by their family and friends and with the church not being too far away it was a short journey there. Once again we were lucky enough to get a dry (blustery!) day, it always adds a bit of glamour to the photos so we’re not complaining! The service was entertaining with a characterful Deacon ending the ceremony with an impromptu rendition of Love & Marriage!
